Thanksgiving Weather In Maine

Thanksgiving in Maine can feature a variety of weather conditions.  The coldest Turkey Day on record was back in 1978.  That year Portland experience a low temperature of 7 degrees.    The warmest on record was 1933 with a high surging to 66 degrees at the Portland Jetport.
Portland averages over an inch of snow for the month of November.  You might remember Thanksgiving 2014 with nearly a foot of wet snow on the ground. The Portland Jetport received over 8″  the day prior with Lewiston reporting 15″.

So this Thanksgiving is looking cool. Some flakes will be flying for parts of the state,  but no big storms are expected.  The pattern will remain unsettled Friday into the weekend with more rain, wintry mix, and snow.  Stay tuned to the forecast and have a happy Thanksgiving.
