Wednesday Snow Storm

The next big ticket weather maker will arrive on Wednesday.   It’s going to be a fast mover with a solid thump of snow for about 10 to 12 hours. Here are the details a few days out.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect. The Watch will be converted to Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories Tuesday.

TYPE:  All snow for most of the area. A mix and  change to rain is possible immediate coast only.   Even there though, mostly if not all snow should be expected.

TIMING: Snow develops mid day Wednesday between 10AM  and 2PM .  Snow is expected to end between 11PM  Wednesday and 1AM Thursday.   It’s going to be a quick hitter with probably no more than  10 to 12 hrs of snow.

HOW MUCH:  It appears most of the area will pick up 7-11″ of snow.

WIND: Wind is not expected to be major factor during the storm.  Winds will pick up out of the northwest gusting 20 to 30 mph in the wake of the storm Thursday.

COASTAL FLOODING:  Tides cycles are no longer running astronomically high. Therefore, coastal flooding is not expected to be an issue around high tides.
